I've seen some discussions of what tires are best for this model - I'm
having to get 4 new tires to replace the 175SR14 88S Michelin XZX that
are worn and cracked on it.  Some have suggested going up to 185/70 or
195/70.  Any suggestions?

I'd be guided by the model's original tire size as the starting point
from which to  deviate toward handling (70 profile) or comfort.

The /8 models suffer from a fragile front suspension and steering gear
box. They are not made for superwide and superflat supertires.

Already with orignal 14'' tires after each bumper on the road you have
to align front wheels and the steering box wears out very fast if the
moments are too large.

Stay best with 15'' 195 to have enough air under the rim and to enyjoy
stable directional steering.
