100,000 miles is long enough to change now... your fuel mileage suffers when
you don't change the plug. At today's gas price... it means everything for
that stupid spark plugs.
Generally speaking... copper plugs are good for about 30,000 miles...
whereas iridium plugs are like 100,000 miles. Use what MB specifies... do
not install platinum plugs. Everything else is somewhere in between.
I just looked up your spark plug. Original equipment shows 3 ground
electrodes... this is nice but alot of time, multiple electrodes makes
engine runs a bit rough... Alternate is single electrode... this can be use
without any problem at all. I'd probably pick the single electrode instead.

Thanks Tiger for you information. Now I am wondering how to take off
the spark plug wire. Special tool?? Thanks again.

I have not looked at engines in the later model... but most of the time, if
it is a wire, no special tool... you have to kinda wiggle in circular motion
while pulling it out.

Hello Tiger: Feeling pretty good about my accomplishment today. Plugs
and 2/4 plug connectors changed. Yes it is abit intimidating to open
up the hatch to see not plugs but more wires and coils no less. As you
know coils are mounted to cylinder 2 and 4. So getting to the plugs
and rubber boot connectors requires taking off the coils. The 1 and 3
are standard connections. Took some time to figure a "twist-pull"
action required to remove the connector from the coils. Rubber boots
cost $20 each and MB Dealer sold me Bosch plugs single 003-159-67-03
$2.90 ea.

yes you can do it too and save $400.
