at least they can't wreck Fiat the way they ruined Mercedes reputation for
quality.......because Fiat has no reputation...except for rust....

We don't seem to be hearing anything from Mercedes about the Fiat deal.
Surprising, since they still own a chunk of Chrysler.

On April 27 2009 the rest of daimler shares were aquired by Cerberus.
Daimler paid 700 Mio cash and lost loans to get rid of all Chrysler
obligations.

Didn't know that.  Expensive exit!

Maybe the megalomania of Daimler Benz top management will cool down finally
(AEG, space adventures, Chrysler) and they will stick to what they know best
(cars, lorries, buses).
