Wow what a difference in price. I went to the parts store to price replacement shock for the '83 300D and found that Bilsteins are going to cost $450.00 while Ryder gas shocks are only $80.00. The questions are: Are the Ryders OK for the MB? Has anybody used them? BMA Auto has Bilsteins for your car... for 4 (2 front and 2 rear) the total is $236. Bilstein are the last shock absorber you will ever buy... Ride will never be the same when using other brand... I have seen American shocks died in 2 years. I used them. Terrible shocks(Ryder) Don.t make the same mistake I did. They are the ultimate definition of false economy.
