85  500 sel  trans will not shift after  hitting passing gear

Trans will not shift after I hit passing gear. stays in low gear.  help

Ahh... will it shift past the first one? If not, then you need to have your
governor checked... if the mileage is up there... well, it may be the
time... but! but! Flush your tranny first... drain it a couple of times...
and change the filter at the third drain... maybe you might get it back
alive.
