E280 Saloon 1998
This has been around the block a few times (135 K) but everything looks "as
new" including the leather seats .
However there is a depression in the drivers seat made by previous
heavyweight owner.
I find that on almost any journey I have considerable discomfort due to the
lack of "padding".
Is it possible to get the seat renovated by specialists?.
I live in the South West of the UK and would appreciate any info.,hopefully
relevant to this area.

I feel the same in the '01 E class... for a long trip, it leaves my a.s
sored... Anything can be done... adding more cushions or having a pro do
this for you. The easiest way is to add a sheepskin cover and slip in a
memory foam for the seat bottom.

You guys needs to eat some potatoes and wurst so you too will have a big
fat a.s to soak up the bumps!
Seriously, I agree; the seats in our '97 E320 are too hard. I notice the
S class is also very hard.

Any auto upholstery shop can restore the seat to new for a fairly reasonable
cost. Most people kick themselves (emotionally) after they have the seat
rebuilt, for not doing it sooner! P

Thanks all for your useful input.
Glad to learn that I am not alone with this annoyance
