About a week ago on MBUSA.com, there was a subsection about the new
B-Class or "Vision B", but it's no longer there.  Previously, it was
accessibly be going under "Future Vehicles".  Does anyone know if
Mercedes' plans to introduce the B-Class later this year have changed?
Thanks.

What is the B class?  I know the Smart car plans have been put on hold.

The B-Class has nothing to do with Smart. Based on the platform of the new
a-class, the B-Class is a Microvan, which will compete with such popular
cars as VW Touran, Renault Megane Scenic, Citroen Picasso and Ford Focus C-
Max. It will be a car for those people who are willing to pay the money for
a C-Class but want a Microvan.

AFAIR Mercedes tried to compete with the tremendously successful VW Golf
when they introduced the first A-Class. This did not wor out. Now they are
aiming at those who are willing to buy one size larger.

How is this different from a baby station wagon or a hatchback?

Did you see the home page?

Pic of a vehicle marked "Porsche Cayenne for golfspillere"

which presumably means a Cayenne for golfers...

LoL.

Hi, all - please check google news for the lastest on the B-Class in
the USA - they're delaying launch by "several months" because of the
weak US dollar

The dollar may not strengthen for a long time.
