No 'special' tools needed for a 126 factory radio.
Pull out ashtray.
Lift out insert.
Remove 2 phillips head screws holding ashtray assembly in.
Pull out ashtray.
Stick fingers in cassette slot and pull gently on radio frame. You will see two metal tabs under the
faceplate start to drop. Use your fingernail to drop each one as you pull on the radio. It will then
slide out.
On the back of the radio will be the round antenna lead, a 4 pin plug, a pair of speaker leads, a
single blue wire, and the alarm connecter. The alarm connecter will disconnect when you pull the
radio clear of the opening. Make sure you reconnect it when you put the radio back in or the alarm
system goes batty.

Thanks!...
How about the 123 chassis (85 300D)?.. I would like to swap a working
Becker from the 300D and put in the 300SD... And then put a newer radio
in the 300D...

Same way, just the ashtray style is different. After you remove the 2 screws, pull it out on the
right end. The wires to the lighter plug in on the left end.
