paint code ?

hi,

i'm the owner of a mercedes 560 SEC of 1987, and i'd like to repaint the
body.

could someone help for finding the good paint code on the plate (there's so
many numbers on it !)

a picture would be appreciated.

It is a 3 digit code, on the left column of numbers. You might want to use
one of the online VIN decoders that will show details of the original
vehicle

It's desgined to handle European and Asian MB VINs. To convert a North
American VIN here's the procedure example

WDBCA24D6MA599620

to

WDB1260241A599620

Copy your VIN to Word. Delete everything between the B and the A. Put a 1 in
front of the A. Insert your car's chassis code between the B and the 1. Copy
and paste the converted VIN to the decoder. Once converted the ID will work.
