Do the fuel injectors on a 1987 300E just unscrew from the top and snap
(push/pull) in and out with a small rubber seal like the Bosch fuel
injectors do on a Porsche 911?

I don't know if it is like the 911, but they just unscrew from the fuel
line and pull out of the manifold.  It's a good idea to replace o-rings
and/or seals as you reinstall  the injectors.
