I agree... the tire is not balanced or something is wrong with the tire
internally...
The problem has been with me for over a year now (mostly around 90 km/h)
I have two sets of tires, both high end Michelin's, bought from
different stores, and no matter what set is on the rims (same rims
though) I get the problem. With each seasonal rotation the tires are
installed and balanced ($80) by varying stores, and the last time was by
a tire store that does nothing but tires and alignments.
I have hit a few good potholes since the one and only alignment.
The only thing that made me think it was the rotors was that in addition
to the 90km shimmy, when I brake from a reasonable speed (like 60 - 80
mph) there is a pretty good feedback vibration through the pedal and a
little through the steering wheel.
I'm no where near locking the car up so I'm sure it's not the ABS, but
the vibration in the steering wheel is a pain in the a.s and not
something I'd expect from an E class.

Worn bushings can also cause this problem. I had a place tell me ALL
of my brakes and rotor/drums needed replacing when it was just worn
bushings. As for the driving vibration, it is possible you have a
questionable rim. Maybe you should try another set from a salvage
yard. That way you only have to mount them once.
