W124 - Driver Front Window Motor

The front-driver window will not go all the way up...it stops about 1"
before being closed and makes a clunk-clunk-clunk (fast) noise. From
that point, it goes down fine (no noise) and back up to the same point
(no noise). Only on that last inch or so does the noise start. Any
ideas? Is the motor bad? Is the window not "seated" correctly? Is the
panel easy to get off for a mechanically-challenged person such as
myself? Thanks!

Motor is fine..... regulator is toast.
