E320 tire replacement question

I have the opportunity to obtain a set of like new Arctic tires size
255-60-16.Free
Will these tires fit my 98 e320 which has 215-55- R-16 as standard.

Speedo reading with non-stock tire is 2.9% too slow.
When your speedo reads 60 mph, you are going 61.7 mph.

Kinda sounds like a dumb move, but that is your choice......
