85 300sd wobbles at low speed, especially when accelerating. Have
looked at right side motor mount and it is worn down and slightly
cracked. Would this be a possible cause? Any other ideas? Since I do
need to replace the mount, does anyone have a good "shadetree" way
to do it?

A bad engine mount (or mounts) is a definite possibility for the cause of
the vibration.  That's not to say that it actually is *the* reason, but if
they're blown then they should be replaced.  Check out

replacing yours.
