First of all, thanks to all of you adept persons who have answered
questions for the rest of us who are without a clue.

My problem.

How many bolts to loosen on the alternator and in what order?

Does the fan need to come out first?

Thanks,

Lazlo

removal is straight foward .Before starting locate the belt tensioner
on front of engine between p.a.s pump pulley and waterpump pulley
.LOOSEN THE BOLT on front of tensioner bracket from front of engine
(19mm if i remember correctly) before turning tensioner adjusting bolt
(13mm) located on top of engine next to pas pump reservoir lid.The
adjuster bolt is gold in colour and approx 2 inches tall, turn anti-
clockwise and check belt is working loose (just enough to slide over
alernator pulley). And on the alternator there is one bolt through
bracket from front of engine and a nut and bolt under alternator both
accesible from top of engine. On completion refit belt to pulley adjust
(13mm) and lock (19mm) lockbolt on front of tensioner. Check belt is
located corectly on all other pulleys before starting.
