low oil kill switch

Anyone know where the switch is .....
Had an expensive lesson on 83 turbo300D,that got a hole in the oil pan.
When the switch didn't work....don't see the point of replacing my
turbo,etc. without replacing switch as well.

There's a low oil kill switch? You sure about this?
