Whats the easiest way to adjust the idle on my 300d turbo diesel? also,
is it true that there are no haynes or chilton books available for
these cars?
Thanks again

You don't. If it dos not idle correclty you fix the problem that prevents
it from doing so.

The idle may be controlled - the system was changed from a fixed
adjustment about that time. Suggest you NOT change anything.

Do NOT waste $$ on Haynes etc. They try to cover too many models and
lack the detail needed in the midst of a job.
Buy a paper M-B Manual, also available scanned, but not indexed, as CD-ROM.

Oh the idle can be adjusted on any MB diesel. But it's nearly universally
wrong to ever change it. It's calibrated to the injection pump and if
you mess with it bad things happen. Rule of thumb: you NEVER chnage the
idle setting on an MB diesel.
