Actually, you can simply repair your switch by taking it apart and clean the
contacts inside. To get it off the center console, for the back window...
push it in the position to 'close' the window... and on the side that pops
up... you will see a slot... put a flat screwdriver in that slot and pull up
to remove it.

I will try that. I already got the switches already so I guess I'll
save them as spares. I'll let you know how it works out.
Thanks!!!

One last thing, will this procedure work on the driver's front window
switch also?

Yep. The method I describe is for all the MB window switch that are clipped
in from top... pushed in in another word.
Those that are undermount needs to remove the center console to get to it.

I couldnt get them out of the console. Does this mean that I would
have to remove the console to get them? How do you get the damn thing
off?

I have only done the console on early 190E... look around your console... is
it fully wrapped around by the center console? If so, then it is only held
on by 4 clips... plastic clips... fore and aft of the console... about 1" in
from the sides... I would try pushing the plastic console away to unclip.

im trying to do this on a 1993 190e. Is it about the same? Can you
recommend some manual of some sort to explain how to do this?
