I just replaced the rear windshield gasket on my 1976 240D, but I'm
unable to reinstall the bright aluminum trim.  The gasket has a chanel
designed to accept the molding,  but the gasket chanel does not open to
the the trim.  Any ideas on how to overcome this problem?

i did this awhile back,  i put the molding in BEFORE installing the new
glass.   doesn't make the installation any harder.   hang on in the
group here for a couple days before you do anything,  hear from a
couple experts first, before you do anything. these guys will help
you..  guaranteed   -gar
