Is this car a 5-cylinder turbo engine? Or does the "T" mean a wagon chassis?
If turbo, is this the only year that this engine (turbo) was available in a
190 (201 chassis) car?

Speaking, strictly, about cars available in the USA.

http://www.autoshoppingcenter.com/ChassisReferences.html

lists it under the 201 chassis:

Model          Year     Chassis     Engine
190D 2.5 T     '87     201.128     602.961

Thanks,
Sparky

190D/E (or W201, or baby Benz) does not have wagon, at least in US
market.  Not sure about world but I have never heard such.

The 602 5-cylinder diesel has both turbo and non-turbo versions.  87 is
the only year the turbo is available.  The non-turbo is used in 86-89.
Again, this is US market only.
