can anyone recommend a flywheel puller tool, not expensive but reliable,
have Verto clutch to change, would prefer one for both types of clutch just
in case!

Umm seeing as you're uk, pop into a local halfords and see what they stock.
Most do stock the flywheel puller for mini's and it will do both pre-verto
and verto flywheels, they supply 3 different bolts for each type of
flywheel. Make sure the one you get is a SYKES PICKVANT (sp?) tool, they
are better quality than the noname tools, their balljoint remover being much
better than normal!

My Verto was a real bugger to get off. But in the end it wasn't so much the
tool as constant pulling pressure and the right about of blows with Ms
Tootsie. Hit it good just a bit more on the puller then whack whack
whack......
