I own a 94 Mini Cooper SPI and the indicators and hazzard worning lights
have suddenly stopped working, all other electrical systems are working
correctly.  I am having trouble finding the location of the relay for the
flasher system to check if this is the problem before I put a new flasher
unit in as the bulbs are flashing when I use my alarm system. Can anybody
help?

On an 89 Mayfair it is dangling from two wires just to the right of the
steering column, maybe supposed to be clipped under the dash.
Dunno if yours will be the same.
Tried the Haynes manual?

Thanks very much for that. I'll have a look. Yeah tried the Haynes manual
and all it says about replays other than the engine management system ones
is, if one goes wrong replace it. No mention of where they are. Very
helpful. Not!

I think, by 94, there was also a proper relay in addition to the flasher
unit. I believe this is also behind the instruments.

Try rapidly switching the hazard switch on and off 8 or 10 times,
sometimes this helps,
