it's a '84 998 mini 25....
I think from memory it is a brass blanking bolt in the back of the block. As
you look at the engine, look to the left of the carb, between the exhaust
downpipe and the back of the engine, there should be this brassy hex bolt,
that should be the block drain hole.

IMHO it's easier to pop the bottom hose off with a long screwdriver.
It's also lower then the drain plug on the back of the block, so you're
more likely to get more water out.

There is no drain on the radiator since the early 70s.
You have to undo the bottom radiator hose to drain the water.
