Hello there,
My dad and I are working my grandpa's old 1968 Mini Clubman.
Incase you've bever heard of Clubman, my grandpa brought the car from
England about 20 years ago and from what he's told me, Clubman was
another division. Anyway, the car is 1000cc and has sat for about
10-12 years. Now we're trying to get the road worthy to drive it, take
it to shows etc. Understandably, the car won't start. We need a new
water pump, thermostat, hoses, rad hoses etc and possibly some engine
work. We live in the Toronto area and are looking for some direction
on where to take the car for work to be done, or where we can find
parts for the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not a different division, just a different model with a "square" front.
All of the mechanicals are exactly the same as any other MkIII Mini of that
era. You shouldn't have any problemes getting parts from the usual mini
specialists.

There are other Mini owners in the Toronto area. Have you tried gettting
ideas from them?

Can't be a 68 Clubman, they didn't make them till 1970 IIRC.
Or at least, not what we call a Clubman in UK.
What differences do you see between it and other minis?
You should be able to start it without thermostats and hoses etc (though not
run it long, obviously).
Does it turn over?
Spark?
Fuel in the carb?
Did you drain the old fuel out, and put new stuff in? It goes off.
