UK RC40 Question (mini van compared to saloon and Midas Bronze related)

I'm lookng into RC40 exhausts for my Midas (with right hand rear exit
- there is a moulded arch in the late MkII Bronze style bumper so
centre exit is off the cards).

The Midas manual states that the exhaust is custom but I've heard
several people have fitted an RC40 (presumably the boxes are rotated
180 degrees for RHS exit instead of the left on mini).

As the wheelbase is withn 1/4" of the mini van/pickup/estate
wheelbase, I would assume an RC40 for such would be a better choice to
that of the mini saloon - if they are any different that is (I'm
assuming that the tailpipe is longer on the van version than on the
saloon). Does anyone have any experience of this?

In the ads I have seen one listing of a Van type RC40 (in mild steel)
whereas the Stainless Steel versions listed in magazines do not
mention any model (making me assume they are all for saloons). If the
van type is different, does anyone know of a supplier of this type in
Stainless and have any idea of price?

NB. Currently I have an LCB and 1"3/4 link pipe connected to (loud)
single box midas system (1" 1/2 diameter pipe from silencer onwards)

not sure on price but Maniflow should be able to sort you something out.

Thanks for the info - the maniflow site is pretty good. It's
definately the case that the van/estate pipe is longer in the mid
section. I guess I could use a chrome trim to extent the end if
needed.

My brother bought a full 3-branch manifold/exhaust system from maniflow
for his clubman estate and, from what I remember, the rolled lip on the end
is separate from the backbox anyway.  This means you can VERY easily set how
much tailpipe you want showing underneath the valance (or sticking out -
loud & proud!).
I dont keep tabs on mini exhaust prices nowadays (I dont go through
mini's like I used too!) but maniflow weren't the cheapest but were the best
by a country mile.  Catch them at a show, along with that wickedly low van,
and you could get a VERY good deal.
