It's too late now but you never buy any warranty unless it is from the
manufacturer of the brand that you own - even then it's still a gamble.

I did that. From GM. It got me to 60k miles. It was great. Sorry I didn't
take it to 75k miles which was the max. 1Source takes it to 100k. BTW they
finally gave me an answer on my Vette. They refused to cover my mirror,
which according to the contract should be covered. And didn't pay the dealer
MSRP on the parts and $89 an hour on the labor like Chris the claims
department guy promised. And the dealer had him on speaker phone so my wife
and several others heard him promise to pay. So again I was forced to pay
around $150 to get the job done. The more research I do the more I'm finding
out these guys are racketeers. If you do a Google search you'll see they're
posting to numerous auto newsgroups posing as satisfied customers. But just
read the headers. I even found lawyer in DC that's trying to get together a
class action lawsuit.
It's not too late. Evidence is pointing in the direction that are doing this
systematically which my attorney tells me may put it under the organized
crime purview. My next step is to contact the FTC, FBI, the Postal Service,
their insurance underwriters, their bank and credit card merchant accounts.
I also can prove they are doing business in states they are not allowed to
do business in. And there's even more that I won't get into here.
Anyone having problems with an online or out of state entity I suggest you
go to http://www.gpoaccess.gov/index.html This site is a fantastic resource
for the victimized consumer!
