Just wanted to let you all know about the 'service' I received from HS
this past fortnight.
It all began with me ringing them to order gold revos and asking if
they had them in stock.  Apparently they did and promised to post them
to me straight away.  I paid by credit card and was happy.
The after they were due to be delivered they left a message for me
saying that they could not get the wheels (strange since they had them
in stock).
I then rang Midland Wheels, ordered the wheels at a better price
(slightly more expensive but fitted with yokos) and the deliver them
to me in days.
A few days after I receive my new wheels, HS leave another message on
my machine to say that they have black and silver revos in stock and
could I contact them if I want them.
I plan to ring them on my next day off since I'm in work and can't get
to a phone.
I get home from work one night and find that HS have tried to deliver
my wheels to me.  Obviously something has gone wrong here since they
can't get my wheels in gold so I ring them up.  I explain the
situation and HS decide not to charge me for buying the wheels and
fitting the tyres but they will charge me £32 postage.
Why for I ask?  Because they delivered the wheels to me.
I then tell them that I didn't ask for these wheels to be delivered
since they told me they couldn't get the item I originally ordered.
After much toing and froing we still couldn't come to an agreement so
I tell HS that I'm going to be reclaiming my money through my credit
card company and that they will not be paid for sending me parts I was
told they couldn't get.
HS said that I could never buy from them again.  Why would I want
to????
Anyway, this is just to let you know that Huddersfield Spares tried to
charge me £32 for a product they didn't deliver.
Apparently, even though they told me the goods were in stock when they
weren't, and then they told me that they couldn't get them, and then
they told me that they could only get them in other colours, and even
though I didn't get back to them to tell them not to send me the goods
in any other colours.  They sent them anyway and then charged me £32
for the privilege.
They may be cheap, but is it really worth it.
A slap on the back though for Midland Wheels and Mini Spares for their
great service and delivery.

seems to be the norm nowerdays...  only 1 prob with MWS is the wheels are
not that good a standard and the paint/powdercoat lifts off after a short
period of time..

I know i have some..

Just a little word from the wise -  who do you think supplies Huddersfield
Spares with some of their wheel range? (I got mine from MWS 3 years ago -
still good condition!)

I got some superlites from Minits in Hockley heath Solihull west midlands,
the owners name is Dave he is a right nice bloke has got loads of mini stuff
and prices are pretty good to!
the trouble with some of the bigger mini places is they have outgrown
themselves and they cannot cope with customer service, well that's my
thoughts!
