Body numbers. What year is my mini?

My body number on my mini is 16722(near radiator panel). Can any one
give me more info on what year this morris mini is & if it originally
had slide windows. I know for sure that the engine is an 850 & used to
have a magic wand type gear lever. Melbourne Australia.

Is it an Australian production car with a Zetland build plate or a UK
car from Cowley?

It's probably an early Zetland car. I could only guess the age must be
about 1961 to 1963.

Yes it is an Australian built car but is missing build plate.Regards.
