Apart from the gear change oil seal mentioned by Muffin Man,
the usual Oil leak problems are the drive shaft oil seals.
If you check underneath, dry off excess oil/crap from the sump and take it
for a test drive - then look to see if the oil is dribbling down the inner
CV joint and it's end cap.
If so, this can be done DIY (check Haynes) if you are:
a) reasonably competent/confident
b) have the right tools (ball joint splitter, inner CV breaker etc)
c) are lucky, and the inner CV doesnt prove too stubborn to split off it's
circlip.
Alternative is to pay a garage (eg minisport) who would charge about 80gbp,
including parts, per side.
Other than that, on a manual mini it possibly could be the primary oil seal,
on the crankshaft into the bell housing, which can lead to oil dripping from
the bottom of the bell housing. I havnt owned an Automatic - so cant say if
that has a similar arrangement.

And Elvis was sitting next to John in the spaceship, which I thought was
kinda weird, but then they turned to me and said:

Don't forget the tappet chest covers on models that have them. Blocked
up crankcase breathers can often make a little oil weep out of those.

Hi Group
Does anyone know the dimensions of the copper washer that needs to be
renewed when the sumo drain plug is removed please?
TIA

Depends on the Sumo. Did you take his nappy off correctly?
Sorry couldn't resist.

I don't know the size, but early gearboxes used a smaller sump plug to
later ones. why not just measure the one you have?

Get a nice Teflon baking tray and put it on the drive where the drip lands.
Try not to drive over it.
