Hi anyone fitted aftermarket (non genuine) Sportspack Arches?

I can't find any info on how to fit them and don't want to start cutting
away at either the arches or bodywork to find there is a simple solution...

Once fitted are they OK to be "pop" riveted on? for MOT purposes or do they
have to be bolted/screwed onto the bodywork?

TIA Matt

By "simple solution" do you mean a way of not fitting them?  You could get
the sportspack wheels that don't need them.  I think they are made 5 inches
wide by one of the mini companies and fit without modification.

From my experience cutting your arches invariably means you need to replace
them within a couple of years as the rot sets in.

I fitted a set. The cutting and puting the lip back on the front arches was
quite easy.  I found the hard bit was marking the holes for the captive
bolts as my arches were made out of a flexible softish material and they
moved about. Some of my holes had to be adjusted with a needle file for a
better fit.

I've seen templates advertised in the Mini Mags at around ?14. They should
make things a little easier as long as the bolt holes on the templates and
the captive bolts on your arches line up.
