What's the problem?  Just curious, as I know of two Classic Cooper Sports
that have suffered electrical problems (totally failure and poor/erractic
charging) and I wonder if electrics are becoming a common problem....

get them to check the wiring loom that plugs into the relay box mounted on
the bulk head, just abve the brake master clylinder. I had some problems
with mine and it was due to a shoddy made loom at this point. There was a
service notice in about mid 2000 to fix this problem as well as the dodgy
temp sender lead. Not all of them where faulty so the dealers where just ask
to check them during services.
If you car has been serviced by a Rover dealer since then they should have
already checked it.
