Fitzy > Thanks Steve, > Nice to hear from you, [quoted text clipped - 29 lines] >>> TIA >>> Fitzy Not sure but they probably did, the ecu on them is shared with other models, try looking at all rovers of similar years, the relay part number is YWB10022 Steve. > did some metro's have these parts fitted ? > Fitzy [quoted text clipped - 32 lines] > >>> TIA > >>> Fitzy Thanks Steve, I opened the relay to inspect for burnt or damaged parts,, none found,,and there are 4 small relays in a PCB, I started the engine and 2 of the relays activated, but the engine started surging, and one of the active relays was clicking in and out, I knew this relay was controlled by the ECU, (Haynes was right) so I looked at the wiring loom to the ECU, as soon as I disturbed it, the engine cut out,and refused to start until I moved the ECU harness, I removed the ECU and inspected the harness I found 2 wires broken inside of the insulation, a quick soldering job and some shrink wrap and it's fixed, Thanks for your input, How is your "S", Fitzy > Not sure but they probably did, the ecu on them is shared with other > models, [quoted text clipped - 41 lines] >> >>> TIA >> >>> Fitzy The S is hibernating for the winter, I see heritage are selling new clubman shells, anyone know if they will ever make mk1 or mk 2 shells again?
