Hi All,
I'm almost at the end of a resto job on my City E,,,, LOL
(what a statement)
anyway, Locks,, Glass,,seals and regulators going in, with new channels
Does anyone have a diagram of the two window regulator channels fitted on
the bottom of each door glass, and also what distance apart are they, mine
fell to bits when it was stripped, and cant find any reference to them in
the Haynes book ,,
any help appreciated

Fitzy,

In my garage I have a door glass which is from a 70's Mini. I suspect the
dimensions are same as later cars, so took some measurements.

The bottom of the glass is 33 3/8" long, and the two metal channels that fit
over the glass start from exactly 1" in at each end. They are 13" long each,
and there is a step in each. The higher portion is 8 1/2" long and the lower
part 4 1/2" long ( obviously ! ).

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Myles,

This certainly helps, could you do some sort of a diagram, or photo, as the
new regulator channels could fit on the glass in 4 different combinations,
(ie)
(1)      -------========      =========-------
(2)      ========-------      -------=========
(3)      -------========       -------========
(4)      ========-------       ========-------

sorry for the poor diagram

Thanks Gunny,
Between your link to the diagram and Myles good suggestions I think I have
cracked it,
The repaint is now complete, now the rebuild begins,
Rear lights , Tank , and Rear screen, went in today,
Bumpers , side windows , and arches tomorrow,
and so on,
