I was wondering if there is anyway to tell if a block is a cooper block as
the ID plate is missing,   Do they have a different crank or anything like
that ??

Thanks guys James K

Memory says that the 998 and 1100 shared the same block. The identity was by
means of a plate riveted to the back of the block. The capacity difference
was from a different stroke crank.
I may be wrong. Anyone else going to comment?
