You can buy brand new later model shells from Motor Heritage, they are even
now doing a clubman shell, and I beleive that the MK1 shell is not to far
away....

Heritage told me they have no plans to produce a MK1 shell.  Hardly
any of the original tooling exists, and the current MK4> tooling
cannot be adapted to make MK1 bodies.

But I want a new MK1 body :-(

thats odd, becuase when I was "speaking" with Heritage they told me they
where doing evrything they could to try and reproduce the MK1... well who
knows what the future holds. one thing I do know with some certainty, they
wont be repordcing 3 door hatch back panels in 30 years time LOL
