My mini's had this problem since I bought it, I think it's time to post a
message about it and see if anyone can help. The door on the passenger side
needs to be slammed to close properly and when closed the door is not flush
with the body. the bottom stands out slightly and the top is recessed. It
also looks like the door was pulled open too far as there's a slight dent in
the door near the 'A' panel. I hope I have been clear. The hinge is the
internal type, the year of the car is 1991.
Cheers

P.S.: The door actually looks straight so I suspect the problem is with the
fitting of the hinges

Yep that sounds like the problem.....just untighten the bolts/nuts on the
hinges and reposition the door in the doorframe.

Also, under these hinges is usually a number of shims to locate the door
correctly.  If your a panel is bent or out of place you may need to add or
remove some of these to get the door to fit.
