Does anyone know the best way to drain the old coolant from a 1989 998 Mini
engine No. 99HE20...? There doesn't appear to be a drain plug below the
manifold like there was on earlier engines.

You'll need to loosen and remove the lower hose to drain the radiator, then
just pop it back on.  Sometimes it helps to remove the n/s front wheel so
you can push the hose off, failing that get your arm down the back of the
engine and give it a good tug, once you've removed the jubilee clip of
course.

Cheers,

Taffy
