Ey up

I just took shipment of a bunch of panels for Fergus (www.mini316.com) -
wings, front panel, a panels, boot lid, boot floor, hinge panel, rear
valance, lower sills (rocker panels to our North American friends) and step
sills.

Mostly Minis here in Vancouver said that the step sills for the mark III are
the same as the ones for the mark 2.  I'm a wee bit unsure if this is
correct.  Can someone tell me if the Mk3 sills I have will fit a mk II body
or not?

If they don't, I'll be taking them back! :)

Also, anyone know of a body man experienced with Minis in the Vancouver
area?  The one bloke I know, although he does a DAMN good job, takes about 6
months to do each body because of his full time job.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Depends on which bit you are changing, if it is only a rusty bit in the
middle of the step sill it will be OK, as the profile is the same.
However the part right at the front where it joins the A panel/door
pillar is different. On the MK II the step sill blends into the door
pillar with a gentle curve, on the MK III the stepped part continues
right up to the door hinge panel behind the A panel.

They also differ slightly at the rear end where it meets the door B post.

Drew.
