valve spring compressor

what size valve spring compressor do I need for mini cylinder heads
and where can i find a reasonably priced one in the UK or ireland

Any GOOD accesory shop should have them and advise which size to get.
that last one I bought was around 25 quid. You could always use the
'house brick and spanner technique' but that requires nerves of steel or
 disposable body parts ;-)

A pillar drill stand with a suitable fork attachment in works well. I made a
fork from a peice of steel with a hole in one end for a nut and bolt used to
mount it in the drill and a slot at the other end to let the valve stem
through and take the collets out. I suppose a large enough hole would do.
