Ok its off topic but Doctor Who has won a hatrick of awards at this years
National Television Awards and what has this got to do with the Mini?  Well
the Doctors assistant (Rose played by Billie Piper) has a boyfriend called
Mickey, in the first episode of the new series he's seen driving about in an
old style VW Beetle, but in the final episode called "The Parting of the
Ways" which features the dreaded Daleks he's wised up and is seen using his
V' reg sportspack Cooper to release the power of the Tardis, which means
using a tow rope to pull the lid off the tardis console and there's lots of
tyre smoke and revving going on from the Mini, but an AA tow truck is
eventually brought in to finish off the job.  Good stuff and is now being
repeated on UKTV Gold.
