Hi,

Does anyone know what the "normal" ride height is for a 1994 Mini Mayfair (1275) with standard 12 inch wheels. The previous owner installed a LCB exhaust system which catches on every speed hump I drive over. Before trying to raise the exhaust system I thought I would check if the car ride height is correct. I know mini's tend to sag with age... so I'm looking at what's normal for say 10 year old mini. When I measure from bottom of sump to ground its about 4.5 inches.

I believe it's 6.5 inches. Any less and I would look at whether the
suspension cones at the front have flattened out. I'd quite expect it on a
1994 car.

They're about 70 quid a pair and a pain to fit but worth it when you find
the front end doesn't crash over the slightest dint in the road and that you
can do legal speed humps at 30 again.
