Car Forum / MINI / December 2005alt.autos.new-mini or alt.autos.mini ?
Hi all! Does anyone know the answer to this hypothetical problem because I am getting fed up trying to work it out! I have a very very simple filing system, It consists of two boxes: one labelled alt.autos.mini one labelled alt.autos.new-mini Now, if I had a message about my mini, where would I put it? I don't think it would go in the new-mini box, as I don't own a new-mini. What about if I owned a new-mini and wanted to know something about that? I don't think I could put my message in the alt.autos.mini box because there is one which is labelled alt.autos.new-mini. Pretty simple so far :-) OK, now when I want to find my reply about my mini. Why is it that whenever I look in the alt.autos.mini box, it is full up with messages that must have been delivered in error as they are about a new-mini or arguing whether they have put the message in the right box? I don't go to the post office and put mail that is destined inland into the overseas box because it just doesn't work like that. It is such a simple thing, what am I missing? It is like walking into a Butchers shop to find that although they sell meat, you have to search through all the veg before you can get to it! And before anyone starts..... I have nothing against the new-mini, it's just being greedy trying to take up two newsgroups!
