You are unlikely to find what you are looking for here. This is
newsgroup is for the real thing. Try alt.autos.new-mini.
(Incidentally, real Minis in commercials are probably worth a thread.
Must have made more appearances in unrelated advertising than anything
else, I would have thought.)

BMG AG must already be getting desperate for a boost sales. Already
copying the Rover ploy of a "new model" being nothing more than
different stickers!
Checkmate indeed. Can't they come up with anything original?

And here I am replying to my own post. How sad is that? <g>. But
anyone seen the new TV ad for Asda car insurance? Shows someone who I
think is current Britain's largest man - need to check the GBR for
that - getting out of a most attractive Mini.
Also spotted recently, a very nice Mini in the DVD which comes with
Chris Rea's 'Blue Guitars' - parked up in his driveway and presumably
one of his own. Also, has anybody ever noticed that in the first
episode of 'The Prisoner, McGoohan's Lotus 7 passes a red Mini in the
opening sequence. Doesn't seem to appear in any ot the other episodes.
(Of course, they are all full of Mokes.)
