Marky Boy have you already forgotten September 11th 2001? Which country pledged to help the USA on the war against terror? Britain! I have to admit I was glad we did because the innocent ordinary people that died in the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre were not only New Yorkers, there were people working there from all around the world, yes Britain too! But since then I've seen the movie Fahrenheit 911 and it paints a very disturbing picture of the USA government, basically their all muppets! I could rattle on for hours on this subject, but I really don't think Bush cared about the thousands that died that day (yes we all saw it on TV and it was more horrific than any big budget block buster movie) but he was in a school listening to children tell stories when he was told of the news and its recorded on video camera that he just sat there unfazed! Any sane person would have got up, apologized and left to find out what the hell is happening surely? Then whilst the collapsed towers and damaged Pentagon were still smouldering he threw a party at the white house and invited top heads of state, one of which was a muslim and together they smoked cigars on the balcony, just what were they celebrating? Ok our Government isn't perfect, I was glad the tories went in 1997, but new labour is just new tory, it's just the same old sh.t and amongst other things we're being punished as motorists in this country. But Bush is totally screwed up as ok they couldn't find Osama, so instead they nailed Saddam, well he may not had anything to do with 911, but he's sure to have weapons of mass destruction, perhaps.... and sadly we were stupid enough to help with the invasion of Iraq and now not only does Britain have a problem with the IRA, but Al Kaida (whatever their called) attacked us last summer too.

As far as Fahrenheit 911, what a joke film that was. Made by a radical nut bag, that was booed off our local University campus by protesters. As far as Britain's pledge, thanks but, where are you ?

Well I may have missed something but I could have sworn thousands of our troops are out in Iraq right this minute?

And coincidentally did anybody see the news on BBC1 or ITV last night? Britain is sending a further 3000 troops back into Afghanistan to prevent the Taliban taking control again and to prevent the terrorist training camps reforming, there's also thousands more from other European countries too. And according to the papers today, by July the British troops stationed there will peak at 5,700. I hope they catch Bin Laden, try him and execute him, preferably live on TV so we can all cheer!

History shows us we can overcome large forces with small groups of well trained people, look at Rourkes drift, 100 vs. 4000+ & most of the Brits walked away.
Steve.

Well 5,700 British troops, there's also going to be thousands more troops from other European countries heading there too and my heart goes out to them all because I know I wouldn't want to spend time in those countries.

The Zulu regiment that attacked Rourkes Rift was mainly made up of older warriors that had already traversed quite a distance on foot running all the way.
Now the British regiment did fight well, however if the Zulu king had so wished he would have ordered his men to wipe out the rest of the garrison at Rourkes Rift as well. Sorry Steve.

What a foul mouth you have. > That f.cking kind of language just isn't allowed here. Well thinking about it that post has got something to do with Minis, I mean if Osama Bin Laden and his Al Kaeda cronies carry out what they really would like to do and that is wipe out the West, well we wouldn't be able to drive our Minis anymore because we'd all be dead! So it did have something to do with Minis after all, funny that.

Tim - 20 Feb 2006 02:38 GMT Im sure that if we could get Osama behind the wheel of a Mini he'd happliy change his mind about world domination and destruction of the west.....

Well perhaps the fact the Mini was never exported to those countries meant they were so overcome with jealousy and anger that've had it in for the West ever since. Oh and they wouldn't even let their women dress in "Mini" Skirts as a result either, no they have to be covered from head to foot at all times!
