Mini Sprite 1.3 - 1993 L Reg

Is this unleaded, the V5 doc just stated 'Petrol'.

And anybody have any idea how much a full respray would cost?

Cheers,
Dave

Yes it will be unleaded, all minis off that age are.
A full respray if its the same colour then around ?700-?800

Yes.

How long is a piece of string?

You can buy a respray you wouldn't want to own for a fraction of the
cost of a respray that will win a concourse.

Unless it's a bloody good job, or the original paint is really sad,
respraying rarely adds value to a car, and even less frequently adds
more to the value than it costs.

Wise words, Graham. The times we have seen perfectly acceptable cars wrecked
by a ?300 blow over. Materials alone would cost ?200+ for a sensible respray
and labour is then the piece of string. The more work in preparation, the
more it costs and the better the result. If you are looking at a really nice
job, expect around ?1200-?1500.

But the main problem with a 90's car is likely to be corrosion. This will
obviously need cutting out and repairing before it is worth even considering
spending money on a respray. So, budget for rather more than just the cost
of the paint. It is all too easy to get drawn into the trap of cutting
corners and regretting it later. I think we have all done it in the past and
learned lessons!
