Just trying to live up to your expectations of me. I thought you had me
kill filed? Very typical of you.
Taffy - 29 Jul 2006 00:33 GMT
I'm not typical of anything and you only live down to our expectations
of evil. Right i'll just reset my kill-file account again then.

Cheers Taff,
appreciate your effort, put me down for a copy please,
Fitzy
Taffy - 28 Jul 2006 17:30 GMT
Okay will do Fitzy and I sent a blank tape in the post this morning,
with a SAE jiffy bag too.
Anyway my family & me watched what I do actually have (about 3/4 and
i'm missing aroundt 10 minutes at the start!) of that movie and well, I
like it even though they wanted to know what the hell it's all about!
But yes it's a great period piece, but don't expect too much as it's
only a small film of around 30 minutes (I think?) duration, or
would/will be when I get the complete copy. But I like it and it
features a MKII Mini Cooper S showing a clean pair of heels to a few
other cars along the way, so yes I think it's worth a watch if only for
that!
But yes I don't set out to cause trouble, but the unpleasant lot on
that so called Mini Forum, are led by the Queen of MiniWorld Magazine
herself, Kay "Dreary" Drury the Clubs Editor and considering their
supposed to be real Mini Enthusiasts, they really do have a
nasty/sarcastic attitude to their fellow Mini owners & MiniWorld
Magazine subscribers/buyers.
So after what I've heard and experienced, I think I'll only be buying
Mini Magazine from now on as Helen Webster (Editor) is quite lovely and
she even went out of her way to see that a couple of Mini Magazine
stickers got sent direct to me too. Where as all I (and many others)
ever had off Kay of MiniWorld fame is abuse!
Mind you I'm still amazed that friend of theirs has agreed to run a
copy of "Vive Le Sport" for me anyway! If it does arrive in good
order, I think I should send a little thankyou gift of some kind?

Good news folks, the tape arrived this morning and yes after almost 20
years I have a beginning at last!
Even better still, the end titles are a different version to the ones
on my incomplete copy and they have Dunlop SP Sport advertising popping
up every so often. So I have 2 versions of the ending to that film
now.
The down side is it's only 27 minutes long (yep it's a small film) and
I only missed around 5-10 minutes at the start anyway, oh and it's
obviously a copy of a copy as it's a bit jittery at the start, but it's
still better than the incomplete copy of a copy that I have all the
same.
Right well it cost me over 3 quid to send a blank tape with a pre-paid
sae jiffy bag to get this film, so if anyone wants me to do a copy for
them, then I guess it's only fair that you send me a video tape with a
pre-paid sae jiffy bag too?
Oh and i'll tag my old incomplete copy on at the end too so you'll also
have 2 different versions of the ending as well if you like?
Okay so i'm naturally not going to provide my home address here, but
i'll pass it on to those who can provide evidence that their not Trolls
or other undesirables?

Oh come on taffie.....give us your home address. We want to come over
and watch you masturbate to these old shitty movies. You are so funny
looking when you are all greased up and naked.
Taffy - 03 Aug 2006 12:16 GMT
Oh and you can see a then & now image of the girl who drives the Mini
Cooper S here:-
http://www.dunlop.de/de/daten/motorsport/pdf/2002/engeman_liane.pdf
As it happens she was a real racing driver too (she seems too cute and
petite in the film & I assumed they used a stunt man!), but
unfortunately the images only show her in a boring MKI Ford Escort and
the text is in German, but apparantely it comes from a German Dunlop
Tyres site. Lovely considering the miserable buggers here in the UK
couldn't even bother to send me a reply and I even mentioned Miss
Engeman's name too!
Anyway the offer still stands folks, so just send me an e-mail and then
we can do business and okay it might only be 27 minutes long, but it's
still streets ahead of the lousy crap 2003 so called remake/balls up of
"The Italian Job".
