Hi all,
I would like to recommend a really great product for polishing your car.
It's called Synpol and I don't think it's available in the UK but you can
you can order it on the web. It' s the greatest polish, wax, protective and
cleaning agent I have ever come across. The results were just incredible, it
made my mini look virtually new! The protective coating lasts much, much
longer than wax and will keep the the surfaces clean from dust and dirt and
protect from rust. It also makes small scratches disappear. It contains 9
active ingredients and can be used on every surface inside and out (paint,
plastic, vinyl, glass, chrome) except leather. It' slightly abrasive, but I
know people who've been using it for years and the body still looks perfect
and free of rust.
Try it and you will never go back to wax, I guarantee it! It's more
expensive, but after you've used it the first time, you know where that
extra money went! I bought it from an automotive supply store here in
italy, but I'm sure you can also find it on the web

Becareful guys with some of these miracle waxes that require "no hard
rubbing" to quote the adds. Many are silicon based and damage the layers
underneath the paint by soaking through...and then next time you have a ding
or decide to touch up the paint work you end up having to strip right back
to the metal to get a decnet surface to paint on. Nothing will ever replace
a good cunubra wax such as Mothers or McGuires waxes

I asked when buying and I was told it contains no silicon, search newsgroups
(you'll probably just find articles in italian though). That's why I tried
it. Everybody who takes good care of their car/bike uses it out here in
Italy. It's a liquid cream. I think it contains a small amount of
lemon/orange solvent as a cleaning agent (the same stuff that is used in
those orange-smelling hand cleaning lotions) together with waxes, oils,
probably some water. If you're afraid of using it on the paint you can
always use it on glass, mirrors chrome and plastic with unparalleled
results, it also removes dead insects from the windsceen as nothing else
does.
