Does anyone think it would be possible to use a transmission cooler to cool
the Engine oil?

A door-to-door salesman has had a really rough day and decided to try
one more house before heading home. He knocks on the door, determined
to make a sale. Joseph Bartlo opens the door, and the salesman starts
in with his sales pitch. Bartlo stood there speechless, and the
salesman, seeing that he wasn't getting anywhere, asked Bartlo where
his mother was. Bartlo didn't say a word and just pointed upstairs.
The salesman goes up the stairs, opens the bedroom door and finds the
Connie in bed with a goat!! Completely flabbergasted, the salesman
slams the door shut and flies down the stairs. He grabs Bartlo by the
shoulders and yells, "Do you know what's in bed with your mother? Do
you know what they're doing? Doesn't this bother you?" To which Bartlo
responded, "Na-a-a-a-a-a-a."

Hi Nate,  YES,
but take in to consideration that most transmision coolers
use the engine coolant, These are either built in to the radiator, or
connected underside of the car by water hoses etc,
if this is the system your looking at ,,there are three reasons for the
water cooled oil cooler,
1, on cold start ups, the water actually warms the oil,, as most engines are
designed to heat up very fast,
2, it keeps the oil at a constant temperature,
3, it cools the oil even when stationary in traffic,
unlike the air cooled type that relys on air flow,

Just buy a minispares 2 core competition radiator, miles better than the
standard radiator, you can then play with various thermostats then to get
your ideal running temprature,

Steve.
