Hi all

I've recently bought my first mini and I'm finding driving quite painful
after more than about 1/2 an hour in the car. I'm fairly tall (5'11") and I
find moving from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal quite difficult.
Anyone got any tips for how to sit to avoid this?

Thanks
Dan

I had the same problems with the accelerator/brake pedals. I soon got used
to it with no problems at all. I actually find that the mini has a much more
comfortable driving position than many modern cars (especially fiats, real
ankle breakers).
Try adjusting the seat to whatever feels most comfortable and I'm sure
you'll get used to it in no time.

Quite surprising you suffer, I am 6ft2" and have a recent car that prevents
me from having the seats pushed back on brackets due to the air bag, to
improve driving and comfort wear light shoes or trainers, dont wear jeans or
trousers that may cut into your waste and as I have an open top car, cut a
hole in the roof, this will allow for an extra 2 inches of sit up and beg
praying position. :-)

While theres really nothing you can do about the brake pedal height, you
can adjust the throttle pedal height by adjusting the cable.
