Hi all,

My dads mini has a MG Metro 1300 lump installed, but didn't have the correct
dizzy (the one fitted was an 1100 mini); now got the right dizzy, but it's
got two wires, not one, from the electronic module on the side.  Someone has
said that one side needs to be ballasted and the other is for the tacho.  Is
the ballast needed for the coil (got both a stock 1978 Mini one and the MG
Metro one) or module, and if so, what is the resistance/wire length?

This does also beg the question...Where do you buy ballast wire?

Another quick question; can we use the pre-engaged starter from the Metro on
the mini?  It's a non-Verto, if that makes any difference...

Many Thanks

Phil

Extra wire is for 12v feed to electronic module.Use an Metro non ballasted
coil and run from12v.
As for the starter, if you are using the clutch housing and flywheel from
the Metro use the starter as well and modify the wiring to suit.
